A week of three events shaping STEM careers
Some weeks just leave you energised: and last week was one of them. Across three very different events, we connected with brilliant communities working at the intersection of entrepreneurship, engineering, technology, AI, and education. Here’s a quick recap of where XPark Games has been and what we took away.
AI and Your Future: Careers for Everyone in a Changing World
We were delighted to join a panel of industry professionals at this inspiring careers event hosted by George Abbot School. Students, parents, and carers came together to explore how AI is transforming the world of work, and how the next generation can prepare for it. We shared how AI is reshaping tech startups and how we use AI at XPark Games as a creative partner in designing our gamified career experiences, as a recommendation engine that supports personalised career guidance, and as a productivity enhancer that helps our small team build faster. Sitting alongside experts from space, engineering, music, healthcare, sustainability, and AI was a powerful reminder that there is no single route into a STEM career: and that’s a message young people need to hear.
SWEN 2nd Anniversary Celebration
It was a joy to celebrate the second anniversary of SWEN (Surrey Women’s Entrepreneurship Network), a thriving community empowering women across innovation, enterprise, and technology. The evening reinforced something we feel strongly about: representation and mentorship change what young women believe is possible, and that starts long before they enter the workforce.
IEEE UK & Ireland International Leadership Summit: London Track
We were honoured to join as an industry representative and share the work we’re doing at XPark Games to help young people explore emerging career pathways through gamified virtual work experience. Being surrounded by leaders driving progress in engineering, research, and AI innovation was both energising and a strong validation of why scalable edtech matters in supporting careers leaders and employer partners.
Three events, three communities, and one shared message: the future of STEM careers will be shaped by how well we connect classrooms with industry today. We’re grateful to every organiser, panellist, and student who made the week so memorable - and we’re more committed than ever to the role XPark Games can play in that journey.
