Reflections from COMEX 2025: a bridge to careers

COMEX: Global Technology Show 2025 left us deeply inspired, and more determined than ever, about the role gamified virtual work experience can play in shaping how young people discover STEM careers.

At our stand, visitors got to experience the XPark Games platform first-hand. We demonstrated how our gamified career experiences help young people explore the future of digital careers — from cybersecurity and AI to software, data, and beyond. Rather than simply hearing about STEM careers, students step into them. That shift from passive to active careers education is the heart of what we’re building, and we’re excited to put it in front of educators, employers, and investors.

One of the highlights for our team was watching students of different ages engage with our games. The way their eyes lit up, the curiosity in their questions, and the excitement as they discovered new possibilities reminded us exactly why we started XPark Games. When career exploration feels fun and interactive, it opens doors that traditional careers education often leaves closed.

We also had some powerful conversations with parents, many of whom said they wished their children could access these games earlier. That reinforced something we believe deeply: engaging, practical career exploration tools belong in schools well before students start making life-shaping decisions about subjects, post-16 routes, and future career pathways.

Throughout the exhibition we spoke with educators from a wide range of schools and colleges, with employers across multiple sectors, and with government officials and policymakers. Across all of those conversations, one message came through loud and clear: there is an urgent need for innovative, scalable ways to connect young people with the future of work. Gamified learning isn’t just about play -  it’s a bridge between education and opportunity, and a practical edtech answer to the digital skills gap.

Over the four-day exhibition, the XPark Games team welcomed more than 500 visitors to our stand. A huge thank you to everyone in the team for the energy, dedication, and care you brought to every conversation. Sharing our mission with so many people from so many backgrounds was a privilege - and a clear sign that the appetite for serious edtech tools that genuinely change outcomes for young people is growing fast.

We were especially honoured to welcome His Excellency Dr. Ali Al Shidhani, PhD, Undersecretary for Communications and Information Technology, to our stand. The conversation was insightful and forward-looking, and we are particularly excited by his interest in seeing our gamified career exploration solution implemented in Oman. Bringing scalable, accessible careers education to more young people across the region is exactly the kind of impact we set out to create.

For us, COMEX 2025 was not only an opportunity to share our vision but a chance to listen, learn, and reflect. The overwhelming interest and support we received confirmed we’re on the right path - and challenged us to push harder, ship faster, and reach more young people with experiences that bring STEM careers to life.

If you’re a school, careers leader, employer, or policymaker exploring how to connect more young people with the future of work, we’d love to talk.
